Sunset Mountains

I had a surplus of paint from the Sunset Dreams painting so I kept running with the idea of making a collection of paintings that all look good together. With this one, each shade of orange, pink, and yellow, gets lighter as it reaches the top of the mountains.

Because the intention was to have it be a part of Sunset Collection, I needed to add some white detailing with my paint pens. However, the paint pen detracted from the natural lightening of the colors as they make their way up the mountain.

The way it looked before I added the harsh white lines on the mountains was so cool. I do regret them. But that is part of being an artist. Learning from your mistakes, knowing when to stop, and finding the beauty in everything you create.

She is still pretty cute to me.
